INFORMATION FROM THE MERCER BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME:

Funeral service for Luther Thomas Mercer, Sr., age 83, will be Thursday, October 16, 2025 at 11:00 AM at New St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church, Entombment will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Mercer died Thursday, October 9, 2025 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

Visitation for Mr. Mercer will be Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at Home Baptist Church from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM. Family hour will be from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Home Baptist Church. Mr. Mercer will lie-in-state at New St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church on Thursday, October 16, 2025 from 10:00 AM until time of service.
