VIDEO: Meteor spotted over West Tennessee

JACKSON, Tenn. — What appeared to be a meteor passed over West Tennessee during the early hours Tuesday.

Several home surveillance cameras from Humboldt to Lexington captured a bright light flash across the sky and quickly fade away.

One video we received shows that it took place shortly after 2 a.m.

Many people also reported hearing a large “boom” that sounded like thunder.
