Jerry Jackson “Jacky” Waggener

Mr. Jerry Jackson “Jacky” Waggener, 66, of the Gardner community passed away 12:25 a.m. Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at West Tennessee Healthcare Volunteer Hospital in Martin.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday at Gardner Church of Christ near Martin. Larry Powers and Sidney White will officiate. Burial will follow in Gardner Cemetery near Martin.

Visitation will be held at Gardner Church of Christ from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Friday.

Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Travis Vicary, Terry Lee Whiting, Garrett Austin, Jon Austin, Mike Fagan and Cody Waggener.

Jacky was born August 28, 1959, in Martin, son of Jerry Frank Waggener (Hattie) of Martin and Linda Jane (Jackson) Waggener of Martin.  He married Cathy (Vicary) Waggener October 20, 1979.  She survives. He worked for Leland Powell Fasteners in Martin for 35 years and also Excel Boat Company in Union City. He was a member of Gardner Church of Christ and loved hunting and fishing.

He is also survived by one son, Cody Waggener (Crystal) of the Gardner community; one grandson, Adam Haring of the Gardner community; one great granddaughter, Cody Haring of the Gardner community; his aunt, Betty Waggener of Martin; and his sister-in-law, Becky Vicary of the Gardner community.

He was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Tracy Vicary.
