JPD graduates 10 from Citizens Police Academy
JACKSON, Tenn. – The Jackson Police Department graduated 10 new members from the Citizens Police Academy (CPA) program on Tuesday, October 14.
The participants attended an eight week course that included hands-on demonstrations in forensics techniques and fingerprinting. Additionally, the participants were able to interact and engage with leaders in the Jackson Police Department within each department.
They heard from JPD’s SWAT team members, Bomb Unit, Patrol Division, and the department’s Gang Units. They were able to ask questions and learn how the department interacts with the community, investigates, and works to keep citizens safe.
This comprehensive experience has enhanced their understanding of the department and is aimed at enabling them to effectively support future community initiatives.
“We are excited to have them all, as each brings a unique dynamic to our alumni program,” said Stephanie Graham, Public Information Officer.
For those interested in the next CPA class, scheduled to start in March 2026, please follow JPD’s social media channels or visit Jacksontn.gov for additional information and requirements.
