Early voting underway at new location in Humboldt
HUMBOLDT, Tenn. — Early voting will be taking place at a new location in Humboldt.
Now located at the Humboldt Medical Center, residents will have easier access, shorter lines, and more time for their voices to be heard. So far, they’ve had a good turnout with almost 200 voters in the first 2 days.
“We really didn’t think we were going to have that many because four years ago when they did early voting, the total number was only 233,” said Lola Cross, election official.
“if you do it early, you don’t have to worry about the crowd coming in for election day. You can do it anytime. You got fifteen days to get here,” said Frederick Glenn, election official.
Early voting ends October 30. Election day will be held November 4. On the ballot are positions for mayor, aldermen, and school board.
Early voting starts at 11 am and ends at 6 pm. To learn more, click here.
