Weather Update: Monday, October 20 —
Good Morning West Tennessee. It is a bit of a chilly start to the day behind the weekend’s fall cold front. A broad continental polar air mass is in place now. However, on the heels of this trough is a clipper that is moving through the northern Plains, it will eventually push another surface front towards the Midsouth late tonight through late morning on Tuesday. Before it arrives however, there will be a warm response. We will feel that today off a southerly wind that will kick up this afternoon 5-10 mph with gust around 20-25 mph at times from the south today. It will also warm temps to around 75°F at the warmest point of the day.
Tonight through Wednesday:
Mid-level clouds will increase, though surface moisture will be nil, therefore not expecting much if any precipitation with the approach of the clipper On Tuesday. Behind the clipper. It will be noticeably colder on Wednesday with northwest winds. We may spend the whole day in the 60s in fact!
