Jackson Energy Authority mourns loss of Ted Austin
PRESS RELEASE FROM JACKSON ENERGY AUTHORITY:
This past Friday, we lost an individual who was not only influential to the community but also to Jackson Energy Authority, Mr. Ted Austin.
Ted was a long-time employee with JEA who began his career as a customer service representative. Since that time, Ted moved into several supervisory and leadership positions, most recently Senior Vice President & Chief Customer Officer.
JEA President & CEO Monte Cooper reflected, “Ted was a champion for excellence and a true leader. He not only exhibited a dedication to business in Jackson, but also a deep connection with JEA customers, JEA employees and the people of Jackson. Ted’s ability to connect with others truly demonstrated his servant leadership and heart. Ted touched many lives, businesses and organizations in our community.
Ted left a legacy at JEA. His life stands as a testament to his character and his concern for others. He will be sincerely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
