Family releases statement following fatal crash at Jackson Dragway
INFORMATION FROM JACKSON DRAGWAY, LLC ON 10/22/25:
The Robbins family would like to thank each of you for praying and supporting us during this time. We are grieving the loss of our Ed. He was a great dad, husband, son, and friend. If you met him, you knew he was full of life and not ashamed of his love for Jesus Christ.

If there was one thing he would hope through all of this and through his life, it’s that you would all hear the good news of Jesus Christ. You were made to worship and know Christ. Here’s the good news- God made a way through His Son Jesus for us to have relationship with Him. Jesus Christ died in your place for your sins so that you could know Him, have a relationship with Him, and have forgiveness for your sins. He rose from dead three days later declaring victory over sin and the grave. We do not have to fear death because of what Christ did for us. He is the way, the truth, and the life and no one can come to know the Father except through Christ. All you have to do is ask Him. He will show you Himself.
For those of you who doubt, please reference the books of Isaiah and Zechariah that talk directly about who Jesus was 700 and 500 years before he was born. The books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John will show you the nature of who Jesus was. Seek truth and you will find it. We’re praying you can open your heart to God. Ask for faith to be given to you and profess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord. We challenge those who are unsure of what they believe to seek answers about who Jesus was and who He claimed to be. And we challenge those who feel that they are lukewarm in their faith to not be ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ and to proclaim it to the ends of the earth.
My dad had the truth of Jesus on the side of his car and proclaimed that every time he raced but he also proclaimed that everywhere he went. I challenge you if you race and believe in Jesus Christ to put that message boldly where people can ask you just like my dad did. There is an urgency to share of who He is and we need to be obedient to share that truth. The reason my dad was full of life is because he was given abundant life through Christ. Death doesn’t get the final say, Christ does.
If you have any questions about what it means to follow Christ, please reach out to the Robbins family or John Williams (the chaplain for Racers for Christ).
