Democratic gubernatorial candidate Jerri Green announces tour
JACKSON, Tenn. — Democratic candidate for Governor Jerri Green will make her fifth tour across the state to visit supporters in West, Middle, and East Tennessee this weekend.

With this tour, the campaign will have visited with supporters from 30 counties across the state.
Jerri Green is a mom of three, Memphis city councilwoman, and proud Democrat. She shares why it’s important for her to meet the people of Tennessee.
“I’m here to talk to voters to tell them a little bit about our campaign, how I plan to make this state work for working families and then to listen to them and their concerns and see how a new administration could really make an impact in their lives,” said Green.

As a lifelong Tennessean, Green was raised in Memphis, educated in Knoxville, and began her career in Nashville. She shares how she expects to help the people of West Tennessee specifically.
“I think it’s important that we take back some of our power in West Tennessee. A lot of times I think we get forgotten and I would be excited as somebody who was born and raised in West Tennessee to take that perspective to the capitol building and make sure our voices are heard,” said Green.

Green says she fights for her community by championing free gun locks, a free ‘HIV test by mail’ program, funding for reproductive healthcare and more.
