Children’s Programs at JMC Library November 2025
JACKSON, Tenn. – The children’s department will be closed for construction. Yay! We’re building a children’s restroom! But, that means the Children’s Department will be closed for the first couple of weeks of November. We’ll return to regularly scheduled programming as soon as possible.

Story Time: Little ones & their caregivers gather to listen to a story, sing, dance, craft, & make friends. Mondays, Tuesdays, & Thursdays at 10:30 (beginning again November 17th).
All Ages Afternoon Art Friday at 3:30 pm. November 7, 14 & 21. Join us every Friday for art of all kinds! Let your creativity run wild and try new things!
Coding Club Every Thursday at 3:30 pm. November 12 & 26. Come hang out with fellow programmers and practice your coding! Ages 9+
Open Space Hours – Tuesdays, 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm; Saturdays, 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. In the MakerSpace, come use our supplies to work on your passions or try something new!
Pokémon Trading Card Club November 29th from 11:00-12:00. Last Saturday of every month. Bring your cards to trade and hang out with other fans.

Teen Space Hours Ages 13 – 19. Monday – Thursday 2:30-7; Fridays 2:30-4; Saturdays 11-4.
Holiday Hours November 24-26 1 pm to 7 pm
Turning 13 in November? Every First Saturday at 12:00 pm. November 1st. Celebrate in the Teen Area with cake and ice cream! Please RSVP if you want your name on the cake at JMCLTeenArea@gmail.com
Teen Advisory Board Every 1st Wednesday 4-5 pm. November 5th. Come and earn service hours by contributing your ideas and opinions about Teen programming.

Tween & Teen Brown Bag Homeschool Hangout Wednesdays 12:30- 2:30 pm. November 5, 12, 19 & 26. Every Wednesday afternoon ages 11 to 19 are welcome to come and hang out in the teen area. Kids can play games, work puzzles, do crafts, or just sit and socialize! Bring a cold lunch!

Starbooks Book Club Last Tuesday Monthly. November 25 at 6 pm at Starbucks, 2034 N. Highland. Join us at Starbucks by the mall for our book club to talk about what we’ve been reading. For adults and teens.
Homework help available for Teens in the Teen Area after school for most subjects. Math help higher than Algebra 1 is available Tuesday-Friday.

Tai Chi is every Tuesday at 10:00 am. Tai chi is a Chinese tradition that is now practiced as a graceful form of exercise.
Stitching Hour is every Tuesday at 2:00 pm. Join others for a cozy session of knitting, crocheting, embroidering, tatting, or any other textile skill. Beginners welcome!
Line Dance every Monday at 6:00 pm and Friday at 11:30 am. Come in and get a great hour of exercise at our line dance classes!
Midwest TN Genealogical Society Second Tuesday at 5:30 pm. November 11th. Presentations and help related to genealogy and local history.
