JPD investigates shooting on S. Royal Street in Jackson

JACKSON, Tenn.—Tipster call alerts us to shooting on S. Royal Street.

We received a tipster call around 4 a.m. Saturday morning informing us of a large police presence on S. Royal Street near Hope Café.

Our crew arrived on scene and witnessed several JPD officers, and the Crime Scene Unit evaluating the parking lot area around the business. Multiple markers were placed along with crime scene tape roping off the area.

The Jackson Police Department released the following statement regarding the incident.

Jackson Police Investigating Shooting

[Jackson, TN] – On October 25, 2025, at 2:16 AM, Jackson Police officers were dispatched to 615 S. Royal in response to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located one victim with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

While on the scene, officers were notified that two additional victims had arrived at a local hospital. One victim sustained a non-life-threatening injury, while the other is in critical condition and has been airlifted to a Memphis hospital.
