JPD investigates shooting on Tinkerhill Drive

The Jackson Police Department says a shooting occurred Saturday night on Tinkerhill Drive in Jackson. JPD released the following statement regarding the incident.

Jackson Police Investigate Tinkerhill Drive Shooting

[Jackson, TN] – The Jackson Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred at approximately 10:43 p.m. in the 200 block of Tinkerhill Drive on October 25, 2025.

Officers were dispatched to the area after reports of shots being fired. While responding, officers received information that a male had arrived at a local hospital with a single gunshot wound.

Upon speaking with the victim, he stated that during a physical altercation, he was shot by another male in the stairwell of an apartment building. The victim is currently listed in stable condition.

Officers arrived on scene at Tinkerhill Drive and located the male suspect suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen. The suspect was transported to a local hospital and later transferred to a hospital in Memphis, TN for further treatment. He is currently listed in critical condition.
