“It actually was one of our strategic goals to develop this program in conjunction with our Innovation Department and the Fine Arts Department, we decided to put this whole show together,” said Kristy White, Fine Arts Advisor for the Jackson-Madison County School System.

“Ms. White and the music directors picked all of the music to go along with it. And then I took the music and sent it to all of the art teachers throughout the district, Pre-K through 12, each teacher selected a piece of music, played that for their students and the students created art to go along with each song,” said Christy Hays, Fine Arts Coordinator for the Jackson-Madison County School System.

Two performances of ‘Arts in the Dark’ will be held at the Malesus STEM Center on Tuesday, at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m.
