Helping Hands announces graduation and new enrollment
JACKSON, Tenn. – Helping Hands of Middle and West Tennessee announced the graduation for the first group of students to complete their apprenticeship program.
The first group of students started the program in February 2025 and will graduate on Saturday, December 9. The community is invited to attend the graduation, held at the McWherter Center, Ayers Auditorium, from 1-3 p.m.
During their courses, the students were provided hands-on training in Operation of 3D Laboratory Printers, Dental terminology and anatomy, OSHA 10 Certification, Microsoft Office Certification, and Work Ethics Certification.
The graduates also completed externships in dental clinics and laboratories. They were also able to complete valuable certifications while receiving stipends for their training.
Helping Hands partners with over 20 nonprofit and state agencies to address social determinants of health, such as access to transportation, housing, nutritional education, and utilities.
Helping Hands is the first approved apprenticeship provider to establish a Pre-Apprenticeship and Apprenticeship Dental Laboratory Program that focuses on technology, addresses workforce needs through training, and provides students with the opportunity to earn certifications to build a successful career.
The first cohort of students comes from Haywood, Hardeman, and Madison counties.
Helping hands will begin their next classes November 2, 2025, with over 75 students already enrolled.
