Jackson Clinic welcomes new family medicine provider

MILAN, Tenn. – The Jackson Clinic has added a new medicine provider to their Milan location. Dr. Stephen Snell brings a distinguished academic career and 13 years of experience in the U.S. and International settings.

He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and is certified with the American Board of Family Medicine. Snell is a graduate of medical school at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis and completed his residency at John Peter Smith Family Medicine. He also completed a fellowship through the John Peter Smith Maternal-Child Health Fellowship Program in Fort Worth, Texas.

He is a recipient of multiple awards for his performance during his residency, including the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award.

Dr. Snell served in Zambia following his residency, where he took his first role at Mukinge Mission Hospital in Kasempa, Zambia. While overseas, he worked both clinical and leadership positions for a decade, with a brief five year return to Fort Worth at John peter Smith Family Medicine.

Dr. Snell is now providing care to patients in Gibson County.
