Madison County Incumbent Mayor AJ Massey holds campaign kickoff
JACKSON, Tenn.– Another candidate throws his hat into the political ring, campaigning for the office of Madison County mayor.
Monday evening, family, friends and supporters attended a campaign kick-off event at Madison Downs as incumbent Madison County Mayor A.J. Massey formally announces his candidacy to run for another term.
Massey talked about his goals to lead Madison county if re-elected mayor.
“Hit the ground running. Starting to build a consensus around what we’ve been able to do the last three years, what we have coming up over the next year and what the three years after that look like,” said Massey. “To continue to invest unprecedented amounts in our roads, in our parks, in our tax base and make sure they have what they need and make sure taxes stay low and that conservative values are represented throughout Madison County,” Massey added.
Massey is facing challengers Andy Hall and Samuel Bryant. The Madison County Primary election is set for next May.
