Rain Will End Late This Evening, Heavy Rain Returns Tuesday Evening
WBBJ 7 Forecast Update:
Rain will be with us this Monday with most of the rain in the morning hours. The rain will be a cold rain and chilly temperatures in the lower to mid 50s as we start the day. Take an umbrella or rain jacket heading out!
There will be some spotty showers into the afternoon as well before drier weather works in for the overnight hours. Most of Tuesday will be dry with mostly cloudy skies before another heavy round of rain moves in Tuesday night and lasting much of Wednesday.
Highs today will top out around 62 with southeast winds of 4 -10 mph. Mostly cloudy tonight with lows around 55 and light east winds. A little warmer on Tuesday with mostly cloudy skies and highs in the mid 60s. Heavy rain will move in Tuesday evening, mainly after 5 pm. Rain heavy at times with chances at 100% and lows around 47-49.
Rain chances will stay high through Wednesday and we could have some minor flooding take place in the low lying areas. Highs will be in the mid 50s, so it will be a very cold rain. Rain will continue, heavy at times into Wednesday night with lows around 42. Thursday will be a drier day with highs in the mid 50s. Patchy *frost* will be possible on Thursday night into Friday morning with highs in the mid to upper 30s.
We’ll likely pick up another 1 to 2 inches of rain between Tuesday evening through Wednesday night with a few weak storms possible in the mix. This rain is the type of rain we have needed to help with the drought situation and it is coming without a severe threat which is a good thing.
Friday looks dry for Halloween with highs in the lower 60s and lows around 40 on Halloween night. We are watching the latest on a hurricane Melissa which is a powerful category 5 storm with 160 mph winds. It looks like it will miss the lower 48 but it’s still worth keeping up with as it is a very powerful hurricane.
We’ll have updates on the hurricane as well as your Halloween forecast ahead. The weekend looks mostly dry with a slight rain chance on Saturday. Stay with the WBBJ 7 StormTeam for the latest on your weather ahead.
