Veterans Day events announced in Jackson

CELEBRATING OUR VETERANS
Join Us For A Weekend Of Activities November 7 and 8, 2025
Jackson, TN – The 13th Annual “Celebrating Our Veterans” Program will be held Friday, November 7, 2025, at Englewood Baptist Church, 2239 N. Highland Ave, Jackson, Tennessee beginning at 6:30 pm. Keynote Speaker will be MJ (ret) Tommy Baker, TN Commissioner of Veterans Services. Music will be provided by Miss Tennessee Volunteer Meghan Poore. The event is free to attendees. Join us in showing our appreciation to the Veterans for the sacrifices they made for our country.
2025 VETERANS DAY PARADE
On Saturday, November 8th 11th annual Downtown Veterans Parade will be held in downtown Jackson beginning at 11:00am. Parade Marshalls will be members of the 30th Separate Armormed Brigade Association. Churches throughout Jackson and West Tennessee are invited to ring their bells to acknowledge the Veterans. Anyone wishing to ride, march, or walk in the parade is urged to pre-register by phoning (423) 341-3330. Military veterans from World War II, Korean War, and Vietnam War are encouraged to participate. The Veterans Committee can arrange transportation with advance notice. There is no entry fee for the parade participants. There will be a prize, provided by Doubletree Hotel, for the Best Decorated Veteran’s Vehicle. Rain date will be Tuesday, November 11.
Bridges of Honor
On November 11, the 5th annual Bridges of Honor will take place from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on 4 Bridges over I-40. Veterans organizations and covic organizations will stand on the bridges waving flags to honor of veterans. In the event that the Veterans Day Parade has to be rescheduled to November 11, the Bridges of Honor will take place from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.
The events are brought to you by the West Tennessee Veterans Coalition, Veterans Day Program Committee, City of Jackson, and County of Madison. Plan to join this celebration and remembrance of those who have served our country in the armed forces.
