Lifeline Blood Services to host annual Vein Drain Blood Drive Thursday

JACKSON, Tenn. — You can face a fear this Halloween season as Lifeline is hosting their annual Vein Drain event.

Lifeline Blood Services announced the annual Vein Drain Blood Drive will be taking place at the north Jackson location Thursday, October 30 from 9am to 6pm.

The north Jackson Lifeline location can be found at 183 Sterling Farms Drive.

This year’s theme is: “Who Ya Gonna Save?” Donors will get a Ghostbusters inspired t-shirt and a chick-fil-a coupon valid for any Jackson location.

Additionally, donors will be entered for a chance to win a pair of round trip flight vouchers to fly with Denver Air Connection out of Jackson Regional Airport.

“Right now, we’re in need of most blood types. Most ordered by our local hospital is Type O blood, so we are always asking for more Type O, but at our vein drain, we would love to have all different blood types available,” said Melinda Reid, Lifeline marketing manager.

Blood donation usually takes no more than 45 minutes.
