What’s New Wednesday: Cowgirl Charm
JACKSON, Tenn. — Well giddy up: one new business is bringing a western flair to the Hub City.

Cowgirl Charm opened in north Jackson this past June.
Described as the place where western elegance meets rodeo-ready style, it’s a boutique offering clothing, shoes, accessories and more.
“We came up with the name ’cause we were just trying to come up with something that was going to authentically showcase what it is that we sell, and the cowgirl way is — is a strong but also feminine woman,” said Kelly Martin, co-founder.

Customers can shop from a variety of denim, boots, hats, purses, and several clothing options.
They also have some unique finds such as women’s hunting clothes, and carry brands perfect for the cowgirl lifestyle, such as Kimes, Ariat, and Hidden.

“The inspiration came from — we do a lot of shopping and we travel all over the country competing with our horses, and there really isn’t a place that we felt we could confidently shop that didn’t have like, fake cowgirl stuff, so we wanted to bring in the real deal,” Martin said.
One aspect that helps them stand out is their branding services, as shoppers can get a custom design on items like hats, boots and purses.

Cowgirl Charm also offers personal style appointments, along with an online boutique where shoppers can have items shipped directly to them or to the store.
And despite the name, it’s not just for the girls. They also carry men’s and children’s clothes, so shoppers can find gifts for any age or gender.

“You come in here and you can pick out a dress for Sunday church or, dinner with your family, or you can get a pair of jeans to go work a couple horses or go work in the barn or the hayfields, and then you can also get some jeans for your husband while you’re here so he can help you do it,” said co-founder Meghan Loflin.
Cowgirl Charm is located at 1348 Union University Drive, Suite G.
Currently, the operating hours are 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturday, and 12-4 p.m. on Sunday.
