American Legion to host Veterans Day celebration in Henderson

PRESS RELEASE:

Honoring 250 Years of Service” – November 3, 2025

American Legion Davidson-Haltom Post 157 in Henderson will present a special celebration titled “Honoring 250 Years of Service” on Veterans Day, Tuesday morning, November 11th, at 11 AM in the Council Chambers on the 2nd floor of Henderson City Hall, 121 Crook Avenue in Henderson, TN.

While we will honor all veterans of our nation’s wars, this year’s ceremony will especially honor the soldiers celebrating 250 years of Army service to our country, the sailors celebrating 250 years of Navy service to our country, and the Marines celebrating 250 years of Marine Corps service to our country.

With patriotic music, proclamations, and special videos, this ceremony will remind us all of what it means to be an American and have access to the promise of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, and to be able to participate in the political process and civic life unencumbered.

The public is encouraged to attend the one-hour ceremony and show their appreciation for the sacrifice our veterans have made of their time, and often their lives, in service to and defense of this great country.
