Heavy police presence in east Jackson ends with 1 in custody

JACKSON, Tenn. — A large police presence in east Jackson ends with one person in custody.

Around 5pm Thursday, we were alerted to the presence of police cars near the intersection of East Forest Street and Martin Street in east Jackson with the road blocked off to drivers.

Upon arriving our crew noted at least six cars from the 26th Judicial District Drug Task Force. After several minutes, officers emerged from the scene with one person in custody.
