Englewood Baptist Church hosts veteran recognition ceremony
JACKSON, Tenn. — The West Tennessee Veteran’s Coalition holds a ceremony, recognizing the men and women who served.

As we get closer to the 11th day of the 11th month, let’s take a step back to celebrate those who put their lives on the line for us.
Englewood Baptist Church hosted a veterans recognition ceremony Friday evening.

The event featured the armed forces medley sung by the innovation choir, a speech from guest speaker retired major general tommy baker, the thirteen folds of the American Flag Ceremony and more.

Much of the event was led by the veterans honor guard of parker’s crossroads. Saturday, there will be a Veterans Day parade in downtown Jackson at 11 a.m. It will feature a military flyover.
The grand marshal for the parade is tennessee army national guard adjutant major general warner ross from the 30th separate armored brigade association.
There was also a musical performance of America the Beautiful from Miss Tennessee Volunteer Megan Poore at the end.
Here at WBBJ, we would like to extend our gratitude to all of our veterans for their service.
