Veterans Honor Guard presented with new van
JACKSON, Tenn.—Organizations partner to present a special gift saluting the service of all veterans.
A 2017 17-passenger Ford Transit Van was presented to the Veterans Honor Guard of Parker’s Crossroads from Ford Motor Company, Blue Oval City with the assistance of West Tennessee Veterans Coalition, Ed Jackson and Old Country Auto.
Working in conjunction with the Veterans Honor Guard, Ford Motor Company also provides decals for all participating veterans during the presentation.
The van was delivered back in August 2025, ready for the Veterans Honor Guard to continue providing military honors services across our state.
The Veterans Honor Guard have provided more than 107 military funerals in 2025.
“Listen when they called and said they had a need for a new van. They had a Ford van before but it had 350,000 miles on it and they said they needed a new one. It was a very easy, yes obviously, we want to support the work they do,” said Marianne Dunavant, Community Relations Manager, Ford Motor Company.
Many celebrations around the region are in full swing for Veterans Day, observed on Tuesday, November 11th this year.
