Partly Cloudy And Windy, Perhaps A Few Flurries
Weather Update: Monday, November 10 —
Good Morning West Tennessee. A cold and breezy start to the morning. Air temps have been in the upper 20s to start this morning, wind chill around 21-23. As the day progresses we have two forces affecting the forecast. First, aloft there is a broad upper level low pressure system. It will providing lift with several perturbation rotating from the Midwest, through the Ohio Valley with a few glancing blows to the Midsouth, there might be enough mid-level moisture to support a few bursts of flurries, especially NE of Jackson today towards Henry, Carroll and Benton Counties. However, this morning high resolution guidance hints there could be a few bursts even has far south as Jackson. Either way, accumulation is not anticipated, but brief dip in visibility will be possible in heavier bursts of flurries today. And second, the bigger story today will be the approaching surface high pressure to the west, it will provide the wind gradient sustained at times 10-15 mph gusting around 20-25 mph. This will keep the wind chills in the 20s all day. Take the warm-wear you will need it all day regardless if you end up with some snow flurries or not.
