Crews fight house fire in Weakley County
Press Release from Latham–Dukedom Fire Department on 11/16/25:
At approximately 13:15 [1:15 p.m. November 16], the Latham–Dukedom Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the Dukedom area on State Line Road. The department was on scene within 11 minutes and responded with 9 personnel, 2 engines, 1 brush truck, and 2 tankers.
Crews performed a quick interior attack, but the fire had already spread into the attic, which made fighting the fire particularly challenging. Firefighters remained on scene for approximately two hours and fifteen minutes working to bring the fire under control.
We extend our sincere appreciation to all agencies that assisted during this incident, including Palmersville Fire, South Fulton Fire, Cuba (KY) Fire, 911 Dispatch, the Weakley County Sheriff’s Department, Weakley County EMS, and the electric company. Their support and teamwork were vital in ensuring the safety of everyone involved.
