Men’s Alliance for Leadership & Education supports Jackson families in need
PRESS RELEASE:
Men’s Alliance for Leadership & Education (M.A.L.E.) Distributes Food Boxes, Essential Supplies, and Grocery Vouchers to Jackson Families in Need
Jackson, Tennessee — Men’s Alliance for Leadership & Education (M.A.L.E.) provided crucial help to struggling families by distributing food boxes, toiletries, blankets, hygiene products, and $230 grocery vouchers. The event was held at Liberty Technology High School, where M.A.L.E. Founder and CEO Brandon Nathan, who also teaches English at the school, used his classroom as a distribution center for the initiative.
The day was filled with gratitude and touching moments, including a mother who tearfully said, “I was praying and wondering how we were going to make it through.” Nathan mentioned her words reflected the same challenges his own mother faced during tough times. “I understood her pain,” Nathan shared. “My mother once had to choose between using light bill money for food or gas. For many Americans, choosing between eating and keeping the lights on feels like an impossible choice. No family should have to face that kind of fear.”
M.A.L.E.’s efforts directly address food insecurity, providing immediate relief as the holiday season begins. Nathan highlighted the organization’s goal to restore dignity, hope, and stability to families facing financial difficulties.
“This initiative allowed us to stand up to the bully of hunger,” Nathan stated. “It is always right to lend a helping hand and be a blessing to everyone, especially those in greatest need.”
Nathan expressed gratitude to Dr. LaDonna Braswell, Principal of Liberty Technology High School, for her support in offering space and encouragement throughout the event. Thanks were also extended to the M.A.L.E. Board of Directors, the Fundraising and Events Planning Committee, Big Ray’s Barbecue, Food Rite, Dream Center, Pastor Ernest Polk (St. James M.B. Church), and Principal Karen Edwards (Thelma Barker Elementary School) for their contributions.
M.A.L.E. is continuing its outreach and hopes to assist several more families in the coming week as part of its current campaign, “M.A.L.E. On The Move.” The organization offers scholarships, food aid, and stipends to college students, striving to uplift and empower men through community-based support.
