Jackson Fire Department responds to small fire at DoubleTree Hotel

JACKSON, Tenn. — A large number of first responders filled the parking lot of the Doubletree Hotel Tuesday night following a small fire.

Several bystanders could be seen outside the building awaiting further instruction. We spoke to a few guests who shared they were sitting at the bar when they smelled smoke and were evacuated out shortly after.

We reached out to the Jackson Fire Department who shared with us that there was a small fire in the laundry room that has since been contained. What caused the fire is still unclear.

This is an active and ongoing investigation.
