Weakley Co Sheriff’s Office warns of jury duty scam
WEAKLEY COUNTY, Tenn. – The Weakley County Sheriff’s Office took to social media on Tuesday, November 18, to warn residents of a scam.
The sheriff’s office posted on Facebook that residents were receiving calls claiming they missed jury duty.
“The Weakley County Sheriffs Office has been notified of spam calls residents are getting in relation to missing jury duty. Some callers have stated that the number shows up as the Sheriffs Office admin number. The sheriffs office will not call citizens and request money. If you receive one of these calls, hang the phone up and do not give them any information or money.”
