Rain Showers Expected Tonight, Cool Down Coming for Thanksgiving!
WBBJ 7 Forecast Update
WBBJ 7 Forecast Update:
Cool rain showers moved in this afternoon and will be sticking around into the first half of the day on Tuesday. Temperatures will remain above average tonight and tomorrow before cooling down Tuesday night into the day on Wednesday. Below average temperatures will look to stick around for the rest of the month and the start of December. Although we will be dropping down near or below freezing for several morning later this week, no snow or wintry precipitation is expected. That might change early next week though, but it is far from being likely at this time. Catch the latest on the cold and more rain is coming this weekend, right here.
THIS WEEK:
After a dry weekend, rain showers returned on Monday afternoon and will be sticking around overnight into the first half of the day on Tuesday. Drier weather will move in Tuesday behind a cold front that will drop temperatures sharply into the day on Wednesday and will stick around into the start of next week. Temperatures will remain warm though tonight and fall into the mid 50s. Expect a widespread quarter to a half of inch of rain tonight with some people picking up as much as an inch. The winds will be a tad breezy out of the southeast before coming out of the west on Tuesday. Highs on Tuesday will reach the upper 60s and the clouds will break up late in the day.
The cold front will pass late in the day on Tuesday and will bring a change in the wind direction and a cold blast dropping temperatures to the low 40s Tuesday night and highs only in the low 50s on Wednesday. Expect a mostly sunny day on Wednesday and a light breeze out of the northwest. Temperatures will remain chilly on Thanksgiving with highs again only reaching around 50°. We will start our Thanksgiving around the freezing mark of 32° but will fall all the way down to the mid 20s to start our Black Friday morning.
The winds will stay out of the north before turning up calm to start our Black Friday. Highs on Friday will reach up to around 50° and it will be cold from any early day shopping adventures you go on. We will continue to see mostly sunny skies on Friday, just like on Thanksgiving. The winds will shift to the southeast Friday night and into the upcoming weekend, but temperatures are still not going to warm up much. Friday night lows will fall down to the mid 30s remaining cool.
THE WEEKEND:
More rain showers and maybe a few storms will try to move back in this weekend. At this time, rain is looking likely on Saturday but should move out sometime during the day on Sunday. We are not sure how long the rain will be lasting into Sunday at this time but we should be able to figure that out sooner than later this week. Clouds and showers will keep the temperatures down on Saturday with highs only reaching the low 50s. The cooler weather will likely keep any severe storm chances down from the weekend system. Saturday night lows will fall down to around 40° but highs will only reach the low to mid 50s again on Sunday. The winds on Saturday will come out of the southeast but turn to the northeast on Sunday as the cold front will pass during the middle of the weekend. More showers and storm chances are expected early next week as well.
