Saint Luke Baptist Church offers free meals for Thanksgiving

JACKSON, Tenn. — Saint Luke Baptist Church in Jackson provided a Thanksgiving dinner to anyone who needed a meal Thursday from 10 am until 1 pm.

Community members could stop by the church to enjoy the food, take the meal to go, or call in to get a meal.

The church served all of the famous Thanksgiving dishes including ham, macaroni and cheese, dessert and more.

Members of the church say they are thankful to be able to provide a meal for the community.

“It’s a great thing because it’s a blessing that we can bless others,” said Alfonso Newbern, Saint Luke Baptist Church member.

These Thanksgiving meals were completely free.
