Top Google searches of 2025 revealed
JACKSON, Tenn. — Google’s annual year in search for 2025 has recently been released.
This data shows which breakout moments captured the world’s imagination this year — people, events, topics, and questions that defined the year can be found.
The Year in Search lists are Google’s annual look at literally trillions of searches.
It uses data from Google Trends to build the top list across pop culture, sports, music, news and more.
“It is good to know that these are the trends that have the biggest spike in interest this year,” said Sarah Armstrong, Google Trends Expert. “There are folks like Taylor Swift or the President who are always trending year over year. You might not see them on the top trending people list, but you will see the people that made maybe the biggest headlines of the year.”
