West TN Drug Task Force teams up with Jackson agents for drug bust
PRESS RELEASE FROM THE WEST TENNESSEE DRUG TASK FORCE:
HUMBOLDT, TN — Agents with the 28th District out of Humboldt began working an investigation months ago that led them to a home and suspect in Jackson, Tn.
Agents applied for and received a search warrant from a Madison County Judge to search a home in the 500 block of N. Hayes in Jackson, TN.

Jackson Police Department’s SWAT team was utilized for entry and after securing the residence, Agents from both Task Forces searched the home finding 27 xanax pills, a loaded .40 caliber Glock and 3-1/3 lbs of marijuana.
Further investigation revealed the suspect to be subject to a no contact order with the home and a female who was also present. The suspect is on probation for domestic assault and prohibited from possessing a firearm.
One male and one female were arrested on various charges including possession of schedule IV and VI with intent to sell, possession of a weapon during the commission of a dangerous felony and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Drug Task Force Director Johnie Carter said, “all of our Task Forces in West Tn. work very well together and we are grateful for the assistance of JPD SWAT, Commander Gilley and his team in bringing this case to a successful closure.”
