Mostly Cloudy And Mild; Wind Picks Up Late
Weather Update: Wednesday, December 17 —
A mainly quiet day overall with a mix of sun and clouds at time. Despite the clouds, temps warmed of the southerly wind. Temps managed to push into the upper 50s close to 60, but not quit making it this afternoon. Not to worry, we will be in the low 60s tomorrow easily. For the rest of this evening temps will fall slowly through the low 50s into the upper 40s. Wind while calm for the moment, will increase to 5-10 mph mainly around or after midnight. The southerly winds and clouds will keep things relatively mild. Low around 49-51°F

Thursday:
We will start with mainly cloudy skies, but also a bit windy as pressure gradient increases further. it ill be in response the the trough digging SE from the North-Central Plains over the the upper Midwest. For most of the morning, winds will increase and be sustained 10-15 mph with some gusts around 25-35 mph. By lunchtime, we expect a line of storms will be focusing up to the west of the Mississippi River along a pre-frontal trough. However, thank to the clouds and spotty showers in the morning there will not be much fuel in the tank for more bonafide threat of stronger organized storms. Either way, there may be a few gusts approaching 40 mph especially along the min line by mid afternoon.
