Cold Front Passes, Cold Wind Moves In

Weather Update: Thursday, December 18 —

The severe weather threat has come to a close tonight for all of West Tennessee. Surface cold front should be out of the area by 10:00 PM. However, pressure gradient will increase again as the front moves over into West Tennessee. This will cause winds to pick up from the northwest tonight between 10-15 mph, this time off a continental polar High pressure. That will steadily drop temps tonight though the 40s and and 30s, likely bottoming out around 7 AM at 27~28°F. However with the wind of course it will feel significantly colder as wind chills will be in the low 20s most of the overnight and Friday morning.
Wind Forecast
Friday:
Cold start to the morning with temps in the upper 20s to start. High pressure will settle in through late morning, this should calm the winds and allow for clearing skies. Temp will struggle a bit as the days goes along but we should still climb back to around 45°F in the afternoon.
