Polar Plunge 2026 set for February

JACKSON, Tenn.—It’s almost that time again, time to consider ‘Freezin’ for a Reason.’ We look ahead to the 2026 Polar Plunge event in Jackson.

The plunge is a longstanding fundraiser where brave souls are invited to dress in costume and jump into a frigid pool of water in support of the Special Olympics program.

Registration is now open and will remain open until the day of the event. This year’s plunge will take place on February 14 returning to Aloha Pools and Spa located at 614 Carriage House Drive in Jackson.

Participants are challenged to raise a minimum of $75 in donations in order to make the jump, or $50 for those student participants.

The fundraiser is the largest for the Special Olympics organization and helps athletes obtain needed training for competitions.

To register, visit polarplungetn.com, choose your location and fill out the included form or call (731) 394-2415 and ask for Coach T.

“We just want the businesses to come out and support. We have a business traveling trophy that you’ll get to display at your business for the year and bragging rights in addition to raising funds for a worthy cause,” said Tim Stratton, Director of Special Olympics Southwest Region.

The next fundraiser for the Special Olympics is a bowling event for high school students which will take place in January.
