Beech Bluff Recreation Center offers free holiday meal
MADISON CO., Tenn.—Christmas may be over but one organization is still giving back to the community.
The Beech Bluff Recreation Center hosted a free Christmas meal on Saturday evening.
The meal was offered to anyone in need or that was unable to sit down for a meal with family this holiday season.
The event was held at the center located at 4488 Beech Bluff Road in Madison County.
The organization was blessed with a tremendous amount of food donations this holiday season which allowed for them to provide the meal to the community.
There were holiday favorites such as ham, green beans, corn, hash brown casserole, rolls and even dessert.
Participants could enjoy the meal dine-in or even have it delivered with prior arrangements made.
Organizers say they are happy to have this opportunity to give back.
“It’s hard this time of year and a lot of people don’t have families, or they’re sick and shut in. We try to do the best we can to help our community, and kind of pay it forward,” said Lisa Lovelace, Coordinator at Beech Bluff Recreation Center.
Beech Bluff Recreation Center offers all sorts of activities throughout the year.
