Final days to enjoy ice skating in Lexington
LEXINGTON, Tenn.—Residents in Lexington are still enjoying some holiday activities.
The 2025 Festival of Lights continues downtown with its popular ice skating rink.
Many residents and visitors have laced up their skates and are taking advantage of the seasonal treat.
The rink, while not traditional but synthetic, offers an authentic ice skating feel.
But it’s not just about skating, visitors can also enjoy holiday lights, refreshments like a drink from H-Tea-O and spend time with loved ones.
“Come out, enjoy the weather! Parents, we’ve got blankets, we’ve got heaters. So we’ve got other games to play too, we’ve got a little gaga ball, we’ve got some ping-pong. On New Year’s Eve we’ll have jumpers and food, so it’ll be a good time for any family that wants to come out and just get outdoors,” said Kristina Anderson, Director, Henderson Co. Chamber of Commerce and Tourism.
The rink will remain open for several skating sessions next week. Tuesday and Wednesday, skating will be available from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m.
The city will also host its New Year’s Eve Balloon drop Wednesday. The countdown will begin at 6:30 p.m. with the balloon drop at 7 p.m. Activities will be closed on New Year’s Day.
The final days to skate are Friday, January 2 and Saturday, January 3 from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m.
