Flock cameras now operational in Decatur County
FROM THE DECATUR COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE:
Decatur County just became even safer. The final installation of all five Flock Safety cameras is complete, and the system is now fully operational. The Decatur County Sheriff’s Office has real time access to these cameras.

Please note: The photo of the Flock camera shown is for example purposes only and is not located in Decatur County.
The Flock Camera System alerts law enforcement when a vehicle associated with a stolen vehicle report, wanted suspect, child abduction, missing person, or other entered alert travels into our county. Vehicles entered into the Flock system by other jurisdictions can also be detected. For example, if a vehicle wanted in connection with a robbery in Knoxville or even New York is entered into the system and enters Decatur County, deputies receive an immediate alert.
No alerts are generated for vehicles that are not entered into the database.
Despite misinformation and rumors, this camera system is both highly effective and minimally intrusive, serving as a valuable tool in keeping our community safe. Anyone with questions or concerns about the Flock Camera System is encouraged to contact the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office.
This is another step the Sheriff’s Office is taking to enhance public safety throughout Decatur County.
