Jackson Police Department Makes Arrest In Armed Robbery Case

[Jackson, TN] – On December 22, 2025, at approximately 9:55 p.m., officers with the Jackson Police Department (JPD) responded to a report of an armed robbery at Horizon Travel Plaza, located at 340 Parkstone Place.

The suspect initially entered the business without displaying a weapon, walking around the store. After a brief time, he exited the store, only to re-enter moments later, brandishing a handgun and demanding money from the clerk.

The suspect fled the scene running westbound with cash taken from the register. Following the robbery, JPD investigators received a valuable tip from Crime Stoppers, identifying a possible suspect based on video surveillance footage from the business. The suspect was later identified as 25-year-old Braxton Patterson.

Utilizing the JPD’s Flock Camera system, investigators were able to track Patterson’s vehicle in the area at the time of the robbery, providing additional evidence linking him to the crime. Patterson was arrested around 7:00 pm last night and he is being charged with Aggravated Robbery. He is scheduled for formal arraignment in Jackson City Court on Friday, January 2, 2026.
