New Year’s Eve Balloon Drop
L
LEXINGTON Tenn. — The New Year is almost here and many across the region are filling the sky with fireworks and balloon celebrations. The early countdown kicked off for the Lexington community.
Family, friends and neighbors came together to ring in the new year. Vendors, food trucks, and games and a unique synthetic ice rink were available.
This New Year’s Eve outlet allow youth to have fun and safe holiday.
“It allows the kids to come out with their parents , grandparents or guardians to have a good time and get home safely to stay off the roads. It’s really cool because I’ve never really seen an ice skating rink because obviously we don’t get enough snow here, and it’s not cold enough to have ice. It’s really fun that they do this for everybody.” Said Kristina Anderson, Executive director of Henderson Commerce and Tourism.
This is the fourth year Henderson County Commerce and Tourism hosted this event.
