“Mastering Your Money” will address three common financial challenges: setting financial goals, creating a budget, and tackling debt. The workshop is designed for anyone who wants to take control of their finances—whether they are living paycheck to paycheck, struggling with debt, or simply want to build better money habits.

“Our goal is for everyone to leave with a clear, actionable budget and the confidence to make informed financial decisions that will move them closer to their goals,” said Jordan Howerton, Regional Director for the Greater Jackson Financial Empowerment Center. “We encourage participants to bring a notebook, calculator or smartphone, and if possible, a general idea of their monthly income and expenses. But most importantly, come with an open mind and readiness to learn.”
