Police provide details into large police presence at local shopping center
JACKSON, Tenn.– A large police presence early Monday evening in a busy shopping center prompts calls from WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News tipsters.
When our news crew arrived at the West Towne Commons in north Jackson just before 6:30 p.m., Jackson police had already cleared the scene.
However, we reached out to investigators with the Jackson Police Department who tell us there was no incident…saying that teens had played a prank on an employee at one of the stores in the shopping center.
Our crew talked with a manager of the store, who tells us there was no danger to the public.
Police tell us no charges will be filed.
