Jackson Mayor Scott Conger delivers State of the City address
JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson Rotary Club hosted Mayor Scott Conger this Wednesday at First United Methodist Church.

The meeting feature many local community leaders as well as junior rotary club members also.
Conger addressed a variety of things including projects like the civic center, the Carnegie museum, and how important modernization is to the city.
“It’s our operational philosophy, we’re proving that modernization doesn’t require a blank check but rather an innovative mindset, and a commitment to efficiency so thank you all for the opportunity that I get everyday to serve you, serve the city of Jackson, I look forward to a bright future. Thank you,” said Conger.

Conger emphasized the importance of keeping Jackson clean as well as how community growth impacts citizens.
In the new year, he plans to focus his efforts on things like improving Jackson roads and helping local efforts like the animal care center.
Along with raising the standard of Jackson Mayor Conger also recognized his administration and the effort they put into Jackson everyday.
“I get a chance every day to work with great people, they get up every day and want to make Jackson better, and our goal every day is to drive efficiency, provide a high level of service, and to serve the city of Jackson, serve the people and that’s what we do, what we strive to do everyday, and will continue to strive to do everyday,” said Conger.

The mayor said that city projects typically roll out in phases and his administration is committed to transparency when it comes to changes.
He said the people of Jackson can expect a strong effort from their community leaders as well as updates about different projects in the future.
Mayor Conger says he remains dedicated to the people of Jackson and he will continue to invest in projects going forward.
