Mulch from annual Chipping of the Greens available on Jan. 17
JACKSON, Tenn. — Thursday was the last day to get your tree discarded.

Chipping of the Greens, hosted by both the City of Jackson and Keep Jackson Beautiful, shredded its last tree Thursday at 4 p.m.
From December 30 to January 8, residents were able to drop off their live Christmas trees at one of three locations including North Park, Liberty Garden, and Malesus Park.
“We have had a good turnout. We have a couple different locations where residents can drop the trees off, and our team is working to bring them to the fire station training center. They can go to the City of Jackson Facebook page or they can call at 731-422-7036,” said Elvia Trejo, director of neighborhood services for the city of Jackson.
The mulch that the trees were turned into will be available for public pick-up on January 17 from 8-12pm or until they run out.
