Hardeman Co. election candidates meet with residents
BOLIVAR, Tenn.—Hardeman County is gearing up for election day, and several area candidates were available to meet with Saturday.
A meet and greet took place at Carriage House Coffee in Downtown Bolivar, and many residents came out to hear what each candidate had to say about this upcoming election.
Guests were invited to enjoy a cup of coffee, get to know the candidates and ask questions.
The free event was organized by David Nabors, candidate for Hardeman County Sheriff. Nabors says residents deserve to hear from not only him but others about what each candidate has planned for the county if elected.
Nabors also says he plans to tackle drug problems like methamphetamine and fentanyl, which are becoming a rising issue in West Tennessee.
“We’re going to attack the drug problem we have with fentanyl and methamphetamines’ in West Tennessee that does not get enough attention that it needs; and we’re going to give it the attention that it deserves,” Nabors said.
Among the other candidates included in the event were Greg Bennett for County Mayor, David Bell, Tina Bellamy, and Bobby Hensley for County Commissioners in various districts, County Clerk candidates Ron Pirtle and John Vickers, Hannah Clifton and Mark Gilliam for Register of Deeds, Trevor Bell for Road Supervisor – District 2 as well as School Board – District 3 candidate Erica Garrison.
Nabors says he plans to host another meet and greet soon. Details on the event will be announced on his Facebook page.
