Allen Maxwell Affidavit

COURTESY: Mobile Patrol

Maxwell was a P.E. teacher with the Decatur County School System. According to the affidavit concerning the rape of a child charge, between January 2021 and November 2022 Maxwell sexually assaulted a juvenile in his car.

However, it is not clear how many times this incident occurred.

Since his arrest, he has been placed on administrative leave and has been prohibited from all school campuses. Maxwell is also not allowed to have any contact with students or staff.

According to the Tennessee Department of Education, he has been teaching for approximately 11 years and acquired a teaching license in 2015. His teaching license is still currently active.

Since more victims have come forward, the school district is working closely with the sheriff’s office and is carrying out its review.

It is unclear if Maxwell will receive more charges. According to the 24th Judicial District Attorney’s Office, this is an active investigation and there are currently no further details.

According to the Decatur County Court, there are currently no additional affidavits at this time.

Officials are encouraging anyone who believes they are victim or has additional information regarding this case to contact the district attorney’s office or the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office.
