VFW Post 1848 holds college football watch party

JACKSON, Tenn.–One local group boosts the excitement surrounding the College Football Playoff National Championship game by holding a watch party.

VFW Post 1848 on North Highland in north Jackson invited their members to take in Monday night’s game between the Indiana Hoosiers and the Miami Hurricanes.

Leaders say it’s Monday Night Football, but they wanted to make it a even more fun buy having a watch party with championship energy all night long while also helping local veterans.

“We’re having this party and we’re raising funds in order to support the veteran community. “We’re gonna have some food, we’re gonna have pizzas and hot dogs that are donation…donation that would be accepted and we’ll be watching the game and screaming and hollering and have a good time,
said Fred Benjamin, VFW Post 1848’s Junior Vice Commander.

leaders with the VFW say on this night you could bring your crew, wear your colors, and help turn a normally quiet Monday into a championship night to remember.
