As families struggle with rising costs, Trump and Republicans push fear and violence over real solutions

NASHVILLE — The Tennessee Democratic Party condemns the killing of another person by federal immigration agents, standing in solidarity with the Minneapolis community as they mourn the loss of another neighbor and loved one.

“The violence committed by Donald Trump’s armed, untrained federal agents must end. From Minnesota to Tennessee and everywhere in between, our neighbors deserve safety, not fear.

We stand with Minneapolis as they mourn the loss of another neighbor. All of us deserve the freedom to be safe and no one should ever have to experience the pain of losing a loved one to political violence.

At a time when working families across the country, and here at home, are struggling with rising costs for housing, healthcare, groceries, and childcare, Trump and Republicans are using ICE to abduct and murder our loved ones, double down on fear-based enforcement tactics, destabilize communities and economies, and make all of us less safe.

Tennessee Democrats are fighting for a future where working families come first, where our tax dollars are invested in our communities, and where everyone, regardless of who they are, has the opportunity to build a good life,” said Rachel Campbell, Chair of the Tennessee Democratic Party.
