Large interstate sign crashes onto semitruck during winter storm
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV/Gray News) – A large interstate sign fell on a semitruck during a winter storm in Tennessee.
Interstate sign falls onto semi, closes interstate in Nashville
The Tennessee Department of Transportation had to remove the road sign from Interstate 65 after it fell Monday morning.
Officials said a semitruck jackknifed and crashed into the sign, causing it to fall on the trailer.
The crash closed I-65 at the I-440 split for several hours, but crews were able to remove the sign from the interstate and put it a safe distance behind the guardrail.
Officials said it “will take some time” to replace the sign.
